Commitment to Safety
J. Tucci Construction Corporation is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our employees, subcontractors, clients and the public at large. Our exceptional safety record is in the highest percentiles, and consistently surpasses local and national safety standards. We pride ourselves on caring about the health and welfare of all of our partners and the community at large.
Accountability
J. Tucci’s commitment to safety begins at the highest levels of the firm and permeates throughout the company. We expect that every employee - both individually and jointly as members of a construction team - will be continually diligent, trained and committed to our safety program every step of the way. In the field, our safety professionals, executives and all employees working together, practice best safety practices and engage in on-going sessions to learn new and ground-breaking safety practices.
Our safety goals and practices are aimed at preventing and/or minimizing risks that include:
- Preventing injury, occupational illness, property damage
- Instituting principles and measures that will ensure that all Tucci employees are actively engaged in safe work practices
- Summarizing and defining the safety and health obligations, as well as the responsibilities of each team member
- Creating and implementing a Safety Plan that includes training, education and monitoring in order to identify and eradicate as many hazards or unsafe actions as possible while minimizing risk
- Identifying and tackling environmental issues and matters
Planning is the Key
Safety issues are addressed each and every day by our superintendents and project managers throughout the duration of the project, inevitably enabling us to stay ahead of the curve. As the job progresses, safety planning and implementation is part of the daily routine. This means our superintendents and project managers make safety planning a part of each day. Our daily Toolbox Talks provide a forum for all employees to participate and assist in the analysis of hazards and phased planning in reference to safety measures throughout the project. In addition, our J. Tucci team participates in extensive and ongoing specialized courses consisting of OSHA-related training and company-sponsored courses.
